When you think of traveling and going on vacation overseas or in general, you think of the big places like France, Italy or even Bora Bora. Most likely, you wouldn’t think of places like Sichuan, the Pamukkale Thermal Pools, or Las Pozas. Well, these are just 3 places of 5 that may make you consider looking up for your next travel.

Each location has its own unique specialty and reason for being popular even though they may not pop up as often as others. Take the time to learn about these beautiful attractions and see if these places are really worth missing out on.

Sichuan

Sichuan is a Chinese province located in Southwest China which is known for being the home to giant pandas. If you are interested in wildlife and the rare breed of animals, located in the region is the Bifengxia Panda Base that allows you to observe them. On the way to the Bifengxia Panda Center, there is the Bifengxia Zoo that houses different animals for viewing. There are so many attractions that hold history and beauty for the eye in Sichuan that are always available for viewing.

The Jiuzhaigou Valley is a popular world heritage site and national park that has been a waterscape for all to see for years. There is a 71 meter tall Leshan Giant Buddha carved into the side of a cliff that is located at the meet of 3 rivers that has been a world heritage site for over 20 years. Sichuan holds a rich history of multiple dynasties alongside its Sichuanese Opera housed in Chengdu. We can’t forget that Sichuan is known for its spicy cuisines as Sichuan is actually part of the Four Great Traditions of Chinese Cuisine which is a high standard of foods.

Pamukkale Thermal Pools in Turkey

After eating those spicy cuisines, you can relax in the Pamukkale Thermal Pools in Turkey. The Pamukkale Thermal Pools provide a relaxed, peaceful setting with a beautiful view of clear blue waters. The pools pull in tourists from all over as the attraction happens to be a world heritage site.

The pools are open every day from 7 am to 9 pm with an admission fee. Being that the pools are a world heritage site, there are other attractions in the area of Pamukkale, Turkey. After visiting the Pamukkale Thermal Pools, the Cleopatra Pools of the ancient Roman ruins are available for a visit and a swim as well as they are located at the top of the travertines. Also located in Pumakkale is the ancient Hierapolis city full of Roman ruins along with the enormous ancient amphitheater. Las Pozas

Las Pozas also know as “The Pools” is a 50-plus-year old place of interest for travel located in the small town of Xilitla, Mexico. The Las Pozas is a set of 30 plus structures within a sculpted garden by English Poet, Edward James. If you have not been to Mexico before, this could be your first stop as it is a beautiful subtropical rainforest located in the mountains of Mexico that will be a new, beautiful sight that not many people get to witness.

Within the 80 plus acres of Las Pozas and its 4 story tall manmade structures, you can see beautiful natural waterfalls and the remains of the gardens created. Las Pozas does not contain much to do rather than see, but it is a sight for eyes that you will remember as there is not any other place like it.

Dean’s Blue Hole

Another tropical-like attraction is the beautiful Dean’s Blue Hole that is located in the Bahamas in a western bay of Clarence Town. It is located next to Long Island and is actually said to be the second deepest blue hole in the ocean. It may seem scary but even if you can’t swim, this location is a sight you will not want to miss.

Dean’s Blue Hole has been the place of the annual freediving international competition for over 10 years now, so it has gained more and more recognition as time has passed. Dean’s Blue Hole and the Dragon Hole located in the South China Sea are both significant sights in the ocean as there aren’t many. Dean’s Blue Hole is easily accessible as it is surrounded by a bay and not entirely in the ocean per se, so this may be a spot that you will want to venture toward sometime.

The small city of Alberobello

The final place of destination is the small city of Alberobello that is located in the Apulia region of Italy. Who wouldn’t want to visit Italy? It’s Italy, simple as that. Alberobello in Italian means “beautiful tree” though that is not what the city is currently most famous and known for. The city is known for its unique style of buildings known as trullo. Visiting new places is so amazing being that you get to get to witness their lifestyle and even their different styles of architecture as every place in the world varies in many different ways.

One of the top attractions located within Alberobello is another world heritage site, Trulli di Alberobello is a place of history as 1,400 beehive-like buildings were built for peasants to live in and have been there ever since. Trulli di Alberobello is why the location in Italy is known for its unique building style, this place has just been around the longest and is the origin of the trullo buildings.
